We are extremely pleased to have your family and friends visiting! Your visitors are invited to participate in social activities held at the Center. Although the official visiting hours of the Center are 10:00am to 8:00pm daily. Visits outside of these those hours may be arranged with the nursing staff.
Privacy curtains are provided when necessary during care and treatment, so that the resident is afforded discretion from other individuals. People not directly involved in the examination or treatment of the resident will not be present without the resident's consent. Privacy is also maintained during toileting, bathing and other activities of personal hygiene, except when assistance is needed for the resident's safety and well-being.
With the approval of your physician, the Center encourages you to take walks, go out for meals, Church, etc., with your family and friends. We request that you return to the Center no later than 8:00 p.m. If your return will be later, please advise the staff of your expected arrival time. Overnight stays (therapeutic home visits) can often be beneficial for both you and your family. Medical Assistance approves up to 18 days of therapeutic home visits per year for residents.
Pets are permitted inside the building, if approved by the Administration of the Calvert County Nursing Center. Pet owners must submit a Certificate of Examination stating all inoculations are current and that the animal is free of any communicable disease.
